The problem with Kiva is they don't like risk.

We really need something for people who haven't got a chance in hell of repaying.

I mean, rich people have Kickstarter, and everyone thinks that's "teh awesome!!!!!!!111" - what about Kickstarter for poor people?

It does - but with the condition that you give the offspring to somebody else.

That only works if most of the offspring survive. In the third world, in the middle of wars, disease, and general lack of sanitation, they don't - it's a game of roulette.

Gifts should be given without expectation of return. The idea of giving the offspring to others is a nice pay-it-forward way of sharing future abundance if you have it, but there should be no such condition or requirement, only that it will increase one's own gratitude from the community to do so.
