- New poke feature. Prod, poke, and various-other-verb your friends
- Photos now use Imagick if it's installed - we still fall back to GD if it isn't.
- parse_url bug fixes, resulting in performance improvements.
- hook priority is now configurable - no more clashes like those between not safe for work and showmore
- better handling of failed database updates; we should hopefully not skip failed updates and tell admins everything is okay
- mobile device detection
- and a mobile theme to go with it
- improved Diaspora support
- forums now update member photographs when they post.
- and the usual ongoing bug fixes, tweaking and touch-ups through the code

Does this work with any theme? I use frost-mobile so far on the phone, but have to switch manually between normal and mobile theme.

Hmm, it looks like you need to set a theme as the mobile default. It also looks like there isn't an admin area to set it.

See if adding
$a-]config['system']['mobile-theme'] = 'frost-mobile';
to your .htconfig.php does the trick.

This is untested, but if I'm wrong all that will happen is, well, nothing at all.

We could still do with a theme for feature phones (which mostly use Opera Mini basic).

It's something in Friendica itself that breaks it rather than a theme issue, but I haven't worked out what yet. I believe it's the same thing that breaks IE8.

My mobile theme broke just before it was ready. Same thing that broke IE8, I think. This one is by somebody else. It's in the main git as of a few days ago.

Pokes, feel free to add them to morepokes - it's dead easy.

Anything really dodgy that might reflect badly, I'm going to put in a separate addon and keep it out of the git, but it's dead easy to add extras.

I hold off on pulling when I see multiple people having issues, now, and wait for them to get sorted.

I post these round ups roughly once a week. If there are known issues, I don't post until they're sorted. That's not fool proof - sometimes there are things we don't notice until lots of people have pulled, but we tend to avoid anything deadly.

The white-screen-of-death-nobody-could-reproduce that was around for a few days was #fixed before I posted.

(There's a pull request in at the moment that touches some theme stuff. Last time that happened, four themes broke - if you're going to pull based on my judgement of a safe spot, do it sooner rather than later).
