Anyone know if the ITV player works (from outside the UK) without a proxy?

Can't tell if it's geo-refusing or lack-of-flash-refusing me.

I have never got ITV or BBC working without proxy.

Visitors from UK arrived a couple of days ago with two half-kilos of Marmite and two bottles of Henderson's Relish. #alliswell

Spring is a time of year to miss places... Brighton, for some reason. As it was in the 60s.

Big reason never to return to UK

Anything that puts a sea between me and the Alps is a geographical bug.

That's the official UK definition, right? In Switzerland we would even call this a hill if the 900 feet were meters. ;)

... mind you: It can be easier riding in the Alps than labouring up and down smaller hills all day long. 1000 meters up and 1000 down takes less getting used to. I did the Rheinsteig trail last year. Your altimeter record looks pretty similar to an Alpine ride at the end of the day - but you are exhausted in a completely different way.

What Brits are good at...

We even had the nerve to start some of the first skiing competitions in... Switzerland!

Inventing sporting disciplines and initiating competitions we can't hope to keep up with is a British obsession: soccer, cricket, rugby...  anything but sitting in deck chairs, really. That's the only one we could win.

Things you sorely miss...

@expats

So you're sitting in a beer garden, surrounded by dirty serviettes and cigarette ends on the ground, and next day you miss all the rubbish... because you're not in the UK and someone has cleaned up. ;-)
