Spring is a time of year to miss places... Brighton, for some reason. As it was in the 60s.

Big reason never to return to UK

That's the official UK definition, right? In Switzerland we would even call this a hill if the 900 feet were meters. ;)

... mind you: It can be easier riding in the Alps than labouring up and down smaller hills all day long. 1000 meters up and 1000 down takes less getting used to. I did the Rheinsteig trail last year. Your altimeter record looks pretty similar to an Alpine ride at the end of the day - but you are exhausted in a completely different way.

What Brits are good at...

We even had the nerve to start some of the first skiing competitions in... Switzerland!
Inventing sporting disciplines and initiating competitions we can't hope to keep up with is a British obsession: soccer, cricket, rugby... anything but sitting in deck chairs, really. That's the only one we could win.

The real reason large families benefit society is because at least
a few of the children in the world shouldn't be raised by beginners.
